Welcome to Bearsprings

Hello everyone and welcome to the Bearsprings blog. Previously we have kept everyone updated on Facebook, so we thought this would be a good opportunity to look back at the last 4 years of fun at the Bearsprings house. We have come a long way and we hope you enjoy looking through some of our memories, possibly taking some inspiration for your own activities along the way.

Bearsprings 2018:

Bearsprings supermarket is open for business and the kitchen is fully stocked, ready for little chefs to cook something delicious.

A bank holiday tea party ready for everyone to talk about what they did over the long weekend.

Bearsprings reading garden, complete with furry friends you can read to.

We were discussing homes and linked this topic with our two books ‘This Is Our House’ and ‘Owl Babies.’ These are the owl homes that the children enjoyed hiding their owls in.

Can you build the forest animals some new homes? A chance to build and use your imagination; what new structures will the children come up with?

Combining our topics of homes with our and traditional tales, this is the brick house where the three little pigs sleep but where does a wolf live?

We have finished our topic of traditional tales and talked about the different houses that the characters live in. This is an imaginary world; use your imagination to create your own story using the characters and homes on the map.

We have looked at and discussed many types of homes, how about you, what kind of home do you live in? At Bearsprings, some of us live in flats and others in houses. Can you build what your house looks like?

Bearsprings 2019:

Our first Chinese New Year celebration. The children were all very excited to make their own animal masks and enjoy wearing red while dancing together.

The beginning of our butterfly lifecycle and weather cycle board. The children love looking at this every day and talk about caterpillars and the weather often.

Bearsprings 2022:

2022 is far from over and we hope you will enjoy looking at future activities on the Bearsprings blog. We will be posting our recaps here on our blog, rather than on Facebook from now on.
